Should i grow my hair out to my waist and get a good perm?

I've really been wanting to and it looks pretty. The only thing is i dont want my hair to be fried. If i do get it done how long would it take to grow out hair to my waist when my hair is like two inches past my shoulders. Also, any care tips for perms? Thanks a lot

Give your self about a good three years to let it grow down to your waist, without cutting, clipping, dying, blow drying. or hot curling, and this will be a challenge but it is worth it. I wouldn't if you have dry hair. Other wise it's fine.

I dunno how long it will take; how fast does your hair grow? Do the math.

Waist length frizzy hair is hot. Dunno if it's less maintenance permed but long hair is a handfull for sure. Done that!

Don't worry about frying it because by the time you get tired of it youll prolly wanna go short anyway.

hair grows at an average of 6 inches a year. i think you should never ever ever perm or relax your hair, it's damaging like CRAZY. and you should really think about the long hair thing - are you sure it wont be annoying if your hair is so long you keep almost sitting on it? just grow you hair out, THEN deside if you want to get a perm so much that you'll risk all of your hair.

I wouldn't perm it. Hair grows about half an inch a month,six inches a year.

Why mess with "God's creation"? Leave your eyes and hair alone the way God intended them to be. You don't see the little animals running around trying to change the color of their fur. And just a little tip, it's nice that you love animals so much, but treat your fellow man with more respect-like the guy you called a dumb***. God gave men dominion over the animals. It doesn't mean to treat them bad, but it does mean to respect man above the animals. (Besides, if you read it correctly, the guys kids made a mistake. It happens.) Good luck with your hair.

On the average our hair grows about 1/2 inch a month some more and some less. You will have to determine how long it will take to grow it out because you know your hair. I'm guessing about 10 to 12 inches and that would take ABOUT 30 months with a few trims to keep it from breaking off on the ends. If you are successful at getting it that long I'm sure it will be beautiful. My hair will not grow that long...WHY...I don't know. I feel that some hair has a maximum potential of growth and that's it. Just because you hear the word perm don't think bad because there are some very good products in today's market. Modern technology has come a long way. If your hair is healthy and virgin then a perm would not harm it to the point of damage and if it was used correctly by a licensed Cosmetologist. Most hair disasters are caused by the LACK OF COMMUNICATION between the 2 people. Which ever you decide...straight or permed if it is done correctly it will be beautiful. Good Luck! P.S.
