I want to grow my hair out 6-7 inches...?

how do i make it grow? i don't want to use any special conditioners or anything, and i regularly shampoo and condition every other day. but my hair seems to have just stopped growing in the middle of my back.

i don't trim my hair, only about once every 6 months. should i trim it more often?

how do i get it to grow fast?

thanks! : )

Hair usually grows 1/4" to 1/2" per month. Some grow more, some less. If you chop off more than three inches every six months, your hair might appear as though it isn't growing since you are cutting off all the length you have recently "grown." When you trim your hair, only ask for a "dusting." The stylist should only cut off less than 1/8" off of your total length when they do this.

Even after this, if you have noticed your hair has stopped growing, you should see if your stray hairs (in the shower or on your pillow in the morning) have a "bulb" on the end. If they do, it is natural shedding. It also means that there is a chance that your hair is at "terminal" length. Your hair goes through 3 different stages as you get older. Even if you have had longer hair in the past, this might be all the longer that you can grow it now. Very slim possiblity, but possiblity nonetheless.

If you do not notice bulbs on the end, it means that you have hair breakage, either from damage or dryness. Though you say that you do not want to use special conditioners, you should still condition your ends every day. Use a moisturizing conditioner that doesn't have too many proteins or silicones. (I have used cheap ones with great success like Mane 'N Tail ($3), V05 Free Me Freesia($1), Suave Lavender and Lilac($1), so it doesn't have to be expensive.)

Treat your hair delicately. Do not brush hair while it it wet - use a wide toothed comb. Briad hair before going to bed to protect it from your cotton pillowcase, or try using a satin one. Try not to brush it too often or run your hands through it all of the time. Just keep in mind that 6 - 7" will take you about a year or so to grow. Happy growing!!

to have your hair grow faster

you are supposed to get is regularly trimmed

which is every 6-8 weeks

and dont do anything to style it

just let it go natrual

any products will slow down the growth

There isn't a specific way to make your hair grow. it just grows naturally. But I know that your hair will stop growing if you don't get it trimmed often enough, because when that happens, you get split ends, which are basically dead hair ends which completely prevent your hair from growing. The best way to make your hair grow quicker is to get it slightly trimmed (a cm) every 6-8 weeks.

Hair doesn't ever stop growing, so don't worry. Also, it is smart of you to wash your hair every other day. If you wash it everyday, chances are it will dry out if you aren't using a special conditioner.

Time and patience, and a regular trim and your hair will be out 6-7 inches before you know it.
